Ishak Pasha Palace

The most beautiful place you can visit in Ağrı is Ishak Pasha palace. 5 km east of Dogubeyazit district the palace was built on the hillside of a mountain. This building is the last great monumental structure of the Ottoman Empires in Tulip Era. As well as being one of the most prominent and distinguished examples of Ottoman architecture in the 18th century, it is also great in terms of art history.

Ishak Pasha Palace keeps listening to its tastes, cultures, lifestyles, wars, screams, happiness, and love. The construction started in 1685 which was easy to say, lasted 99 years and was completed by Ishak Pasha in 1784. The work of the synthesis of the Ottoman and Seljuk art covers an area of 7600 square meters. There are too many buildings inside ... The mosque, tomb, library, harem, soup kitchen, viewing area, guest room, entertainment hall, food store, dungeon, justice hall. The gold-plated entrance gate is said to have been abducted during the Russian occupation of 1877-1878.
